Growing Our Team: Meet Our Newest Clinicians

Over the past few months, we’ve welcomed several new clinicians to our team, each bringing their own experience, expertise, and personality to the practice. Let’s get to know them better!

Meet The Clinicians

Dr. Ariel Beckerman

MSc, M.Psy, Psy.D

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Ariel Beckman to our clinical team! Ariel provides psychological assessment and therapy services, with a focus on late adolescents, college-aged students, and adults.

Originally from California, Ariel studied human biology at Indiana University and played tennis in college. After college, she explored several fields—including international aid and cybersecurity—before returning to her passion for healthcare and psychology. She earned her master’s degree from University College London and her Doctor of Psychology from The George Washington University. She completed her predoctoral internship at UVA’s Counseling and Psychological Services.

Ariel describes psychology as “a really perfect blend of art and science.” While understanding the brain, diagnoses, and assessment results is important, she believes the heart of clinical work is the relationship between clinician and client. She strives to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and comfortable asking difficult questions.

Outside of work, Ariel enjoys staying active, going for walks, and spending time outdoors.

We’re thrilled to have Ariel on our team and look forward to introducing her to our community!

Ashlee Vann

MSW, LCSW Supervisee

We’re excited to welcome Ashlee Vann to our clinical team! With more than 10 years of experience in social work, Ashlee is passionate about supporting children, families, and LGBTQ+ individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward meaningful growth.

Ashlee earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Bennett College and her Master’s in Social Work from Norfolk State University. Her path to social work wasn’t exactly planned—she originally considered studying marine biology and even nearly minored in psychology. Coming from a family with a strong connection to social work, including parents who were foster parents, she ultimately found her calling in helping others. “I used to want to study the deep blue sea, and now I’m studying deep emotions,” says Ashlee.

Her experience spans schools, private and government agencies, residential and hospital settings, crisis and recovery programs, and foster care and adoption. She primarily works with children and families and is currently pursuing her LCSW.

Outside of work, Ashlee enjoys spending time outdoors, attending concerts and festivals, trying new foods, traveling, taking her dogs for walks, and spending time with family.

We’re thrilled to have Ashlee on our team!

Elena Przybocki

MSW, LCSW Supervisee

We’re excited to welcome Elena to our clinical team! With more than eight years of experience in social work, Elena works primarily with children and teens, supporting clients navigating self-harm, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, trauma, and other mental health challenges.

Elena earned her undergraduate degree from Chatham University, double majoring in social work and psychology, and later earned her Master’s in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her experience includes working with adults with intellectual disabilities and severe mental illness, foster care, juvenile detention, and community-based programs.

Interestingly, Elena didn’t always plan on becoming a social worker. However, taking an introductory tp social work course led to interest in the field.

What Elena loves most about therapy is watching things click for clients—seeing them reframe something, discover their own strengths, and begin to see themselves or their circumstances differently. She believes therapy is a partnership and uses approaches including CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and DBT through a trauma-informed lens.

Outside of work, Elena enjoys Muay Thai, going to the gym, and baking. We’re so happy that she is joining our team!

Larissa White

MA, Resident In Counseling

We’re excited to welcome Larissa White to Sage House as a new clinician! Larissa is an independent contractor who offers talk therapy along with play- and art-based approaches.

Larissa’s path to counseling has been shaped by her love of creativity, education, and helping others grow. She holds a BFA in Fine Art with a minor in Education from Messiah University, an MFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmond Graduate University.

Before becoming a counselor, Larissa taught and mentored children, adolescents, and young adults in a variety of settings. These experiences deepened her belief in the power of creativity, curiosity, and meaningful relationships to support confidence and personal growth.

Larissa enjoys working with children, adolescents, college students, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, grief, identity, and self-esteem. She is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported. We’re so glad to have her as part of the Sage House team!
