Graduate Intern

Amanda is currently completing her M.A. in Art Therapy at George Washington University. As an intern at Sage House Therapy, she works with children, adolescents, and adults. Amanda believes creative expression can work in tandem with spoken word to foster meaningful connection, healing, and wellness. She works with people experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, autism, ADHD, and trauma.

Amanda utilizes a collaborative, person-centered approach that integrates Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), visual expression, creative writing, and play. She is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space for clients to bring their whole selves. Amanda also has experience working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Amanda is warm, caring, and strives to meet each client’s unique needs. She is flexible in her approach and works in tandem with clients to achieve their therapeutic goals.
