Elena earned her Master’s in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and is currently a Supervisee of Social Work working towards her LCSW. She has over eight years of experience in the field, with populations ranging from at-risk youth to adults with various mental health diagnoses.
As an independent contractor at Sage House, Elena specializes in working with children, teens dealing with self-harm, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, and trauma. Elena believes deeply in the power of partnership in the therapeutic relationship to assist clients in reaching their goals. She is passionate about partnering with clients to assist them in discovering their own unique gifts, perspectives, and abilities to manage their mental health concerns, and life stressors. Elena is committed to a collaborative therapeutic approach, where clients are empowered to take charge of their lives and healing. She utilizes a wide variety of therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, and performs all modalities through a trauma informed lens.
Elena is an in-network provider with Anthem BCBS PPO plans and Kaiser Permanente. She is an Out of Network provider with most other insurance carriers. She currently offers therapy sessions in-person as well as online via telehealth.
