Dr. Ariel Beckerman

Resident in Psychology

MSc, M.Psy, Psy.D

Dr. Ariel Beckman provides comprehensive psychological assessment services for children, adolescents, and adults. Whether individuals are seeking diagnostic clarification, greater self-understanding, or recommendations to guide treatment, school, or work, Ariel approaches each evaluation with curiosity, thoughtfulness, and a commitment to understanding the whole person. She integrates cognitive, emotional, behavioral, personality, and contextual factors to provide a nuanced understanding of each client’s strengths, challenges, and experiences that shape their current functioning. Ariel believes that a meaningful assessment extends beyond test results. She is dedicated to creating a collaborative process in which clients and families feel understood, receive clear and meaningful feedback, and leave with practical recommendations.

Ariel earned her Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University Bloomington, her Master of Science in Psychological Sciences from University College London (London, U.K.), and her Doctor of Psychology from The George Washington University. She completed her predoctoral internship at the University of Virginia's Counseling and Psychological Services and has trained in community mental health, university counseling, and middle and high school settings.

Ariel practices as a Resident in Psychology in the state of VA and is supervised by licensed clinical psychologist. As an independent contractor at Sage House Therapy, Ariel offers testing services in person and virtually, as applicable, at our Reston and Arlington offices.
