Meet the Team
At Sage House Therapy there is no one-size-fits-all in our approach. We know each person is unique, which is why our clinicians are specially trained to combine traditional talk therapy with Art Therapy, Play Therapy, and Sand tray Therapy. We believe in the mind-body connection and incorporate techniques such as mindfulness, somatic awareness and meditation when it aligns with a client’s individual needs. Our clinicians are also trained in the latest evidence-based therapy techniques, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), which have allowed our clients to see significant and lasting change in their therapy work. Our clinicians also specialize in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, a powerful framework to help clients explore feelings and gain greater insight into their behavior and thought patterns.
Mary Stewart
MA, ATR, LPC
Mary believes in the power of art therapy to give voice to those experiences and emotions which remain unspoken and supports clients through their journey of exploration and renewal. She is an independent contractor at Sage House who specializes in working with children, teens adults and offers in-person and online therapy. Mary is an in-network provider with AnthemBCBS PPO plans and Kaiser Permanente.
Kate Mullins
MA, ATR-BC, LPC
Kate is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Board Certified, Registered Art Therapist who enjoys working with children 10 years and older, adolescents and adults. She has spent many years working in schools, hospitals, and outpatient settings. She is an independent contractor at Sage House who works with clients in recovery from eating disorders, while also specializing in anxiety, OCD depression, self-harm, relationships and life transitions. She is an in-network provider with Anthem BCBS PPO plans and Kaiser Permanente.
Lisa Huang
M.Ed., Resident in Counseling
Lisa recently graduated with her M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and works as an independent contractor at Sage House providing services to children, teens and adults. She sees clients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, grief and loss and relationship challenges. She is in the process of applying for her Resident in Counseling license.
