Sage House Therapy and Empowering Women

In a world where we often find ourselves juggling the demands of daily life, just like the iconic Barbie who's taken on countless roles in her recent cinematic journey, it's crucial to have a supportive space for mental and emotional well-being. Sage House Therapy, a women-owned practice, stands as a beacon of hope and healing, offering a diverse range of therapeutic services.

Much like Barbie's versatility and adaptability in her various movie roles, the clinicians at Sage House Therapy are dedicated professionals who understand the unique challenges women face. These therapists are not just clinicians; they are empathetic healers committed to providing specialized care.

Perinatal Therapy

The perinatal period, spanning pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum phase, is a profound and transformative journey. Sage House Therapy is home to clinicians who specialize in perinatal therapy, ensuring that mothers receive the emotional support they need during this crucial phase.

Our clinical director, Kate Tedeschi MA, ATR-BC, LPC, is a mother and understands the unique challenges of raising a family and parenthood. Kate has completed a certification training in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International and specializes in supporting women (and their partners) through experiences around motherhood, including pregnancy, postpartum, grief, and loss.

Another clinician at Sage House, Lauren Campbell MA, ATR-BC, LPC, completed certification training in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. With this specialized training, Lauren supports new and expecting parents needing emotional support during pregnancy and postpartum.

Almost all of our clinicians at Sage House Therapy have completed a certification training in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International to best support their perinatal clients.

Sexual Trauma

Healing from sexual trauma is a delicate and complex process. Sage House Therapy offers a safe and compassionate environment where survivors can embark on their journey to recovery.

Our clinician Lindsay Carroll, MS, ATR, LPC,  supports kids, teens, and adults through life transitions, sexual assault and abuse, identity development, anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger management, PTSD and bereavement. Lindsay is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), which is a highly effective, evidenced- based approach for addressing trauma and symptoms stemming from trauma, such as anxiety, depression and PTSD.

Relationships and Work-Life Balance

Striking a harmonious balance between personal relationships and professional aspirations is a constant challenge for many women. Sage House Therapy recognizes the importance of maintaining healthy relationships while pursuing career goals.

Christina Hagemeier, MA, ATR-BC, LPC, works with adults who are neurodivergent (known or suspected), who have experienced trauma, and who are experiencing burnout at work or in relationships. You do not need to have a diagnosis of PTSD to have experienced trauma. Christina often works with adults who have/had difficult relationships with parents, a chaotic or uncertain childhood, and those who struggle in relationships.

Eating Disorders and Body Image

In the complex tapestry of women's lives, issues related to eating disorders and body image often weave their threads, much like the diverse challenges Barbie confronts in her cinematic adventures. Sage House Therapy understands the profound impact these issues can have on mental and emotional well-being.

Kate Mullins, MA, ATR, LPC, works with clients in recovery from eating disorders, while also specializing in anxiety, OCD, depression, self-harm, relationships and life transitions. Kate is passionate about helping clients renew their relationship with their body. She integrates a blended approach of art therapy and counseling, psycho-education and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients
